Experience Allowance. An increment paid for actual full or part-time teaching experience in recognition of increased skill and knowledge gained from the teaching experience.
Experience Allowance. Beginning salaries shall include recognition of related documented experience. Having established the recent related clinical experience, the Home will credit a new nurse with one (1) annual service increment for each year of experience. Present employees are to be reclassified on the basis of the information that the Home already has, or that the Union or nurse supplies to them. When a period of more than two (2) years has elapsed since the nurse has occupied a nursing position, then the number of increments to be paid, if any, shall be at the discretion of the Corporation.

Experience Allowance. 8.01 - Credit for Previous Employment a) Previous related work experience of employees who worked at full-time equivalent status shall be calculated as follows: one month’s credit for each full month of previous related work experience in full-time equivalent status. b) The Board will recognize twelve (12) months of full time equivalent related work experience to be equal to one (1) full year of related work experience. c) For each staff the number of full years of related work experience shall be calculated as set out above and the residue, if any, shall be determined. The board will recognize a residue of six (6) or more months of full time equivalent related work experience to be equal to one (1) full year of related work experience. d) Previous related work experience for employees who worked less than full time equivalent status for a full year shall be calculated as follows: an employee who worked twelve (12) months in one calendar year at, at least half time equivalent status, but less than full time equivalent status shall be credited with one (1) year’s experience. e) Previous related work experience shall be credited as of the day the employee commence work provided the required documentation has been filed with the Board. If not, the employee will be placed at the bottom of the grid for that position until the documentation is received by the Board.
Experience Allowance. C2.01 Initial placement on the salary scale shall be determined through consultation between the General Secretary, OECTASA and the prospective employee. C2.02 For each full year of employment following the appointment, the employee will be placed one year ahead of the placement at the time of appointment, if applicable. C2.03 In the event that a satisfactory work evaluation is not completed for the employee, the advancement on the salary grid may be withheld.
