Experience Increment. 1. The granting of an annually negotiated experience increment shall take place as of the first (1st) teacher work day of the new school year. 2. Teachers with experience in the District, who have left the District and then are rehired to a bargaining unit position, shall not be placed lower than the salary they were on at the time they previously left employment in the District. This provision does not apply to teacher on transition as defined under Article XVII or teachers engaged in mentoring or tutoring.
