Extended Contracts. The administration retains the right to assign extra days to the individual contracts with librarians and counselors. Librarians and counselors who are assigned to work extra days shall be compensated at their regular daily rate of pay. Unless otherwise provided by grants, stipends, or current extra duty schedule, any teacher assigned extra days shall be compensated at their regular daily contracted base rate of pay. The administration retains the right to assign extra days to the individual contracts of teachers.
Extended Contracts. The index is based on the individual teacher’s base salary. The specific positions are for information only and were not bargained. The number of days listed are listed for information only. Teachers who work with students on extended school year shall be paid at their daily rate.
Extended Contracts. Extended contracts (more than 189 days) may be offered on a voluntary basis. Extended contracts will be paid for at the per diem rate determined by dividing the teacher's annual salary by the number of contract days as provided in Article 14, Working Conditions (Work Day and Year). Extended Contracts. A. In the event the number of days in a MBU’s contract is extended, that MBU shall be paid at the daily rate of 1/207 of their scheduled salary per additional day. MBUs on an extended contract shall receive B. All counselors shall have five (5) additional days added to their work calendar. An athletic supplement is for the period of time between the first official day of practice and the time that a coach's team is eliminated in the FHSAA state championship series. Teachers assigned by the principal/supervisor as the designated mentor for new hires will be paid a supplement of $362 per assigned teacher (See Teacher Article XIV). (Note: Additional teachers mentoring teachers deemed to be in need of assistance will be paid at the Adult School rate (see Appendix E) for the number of hours agreed upon by the principal and the mentoring teacher.)
Extended Contracts. 3.1 Any teacher who is assigned to work for longer than the work days, as indicated in Article 29, and prior to the staff workshop or after school is out will be employed on the basis of an extended contract with the salary rate based on the teacher’s contract salary for the regular school term. 3.1.1 Teachers whose assignments extend beyond the normal academic year shall be informed by the Department of Human Resources by May 1 of the current year as to the number of days and the nature of the assignments. Payment shall be made at such teacher’s per diem rate and included in the salary check following the conclusion of said work. 3.1.2 Teachers whose assignments begin before the normal academic year shall be informed by the Department of Human Resources by June 1 of the current year as to the number of days and the nature of the assignments. The foregoing provision does not apply to employment for regular summer school programs or to special curriculum projects. 3.2 With their consent, non-classroom teachers may be assigned to a differentiated work year; i.e., upon the District’s request, non-classroom teachers may agree to report to work prior to the staff workshop, to work on a day during the academic year which is not a scheduled work day, or to stay at work after school is out, on the condition that the total number of assigned work days does not exceed the number of days indicated in Article 29, as applicable. 3.3 Assignments of extra classes are to be based on the following: 3.3.1 Before requesting a teacher to teach an extra class, the principal and the appropriate Department of Human Resources staff shall consider the teacher’s current work load. 3.3.2 Written acceptance by the teacher of the extra class must be filed with the principal and the Department of Human Resources. 3.3.3 The extra pay shall be one-sixth (1/6) of the teacher’s current contract salary. 3.3.4 Only one (1) extra class per teacher shall be assigned.
Extended Contracts. Subd. 1. A teacher who works in his/her usual assignment for an extended period of time beyond the 185 duty day work year shall be paid at his/her regular daily rate of pay prorated over the extended period by dividing the regular annual salary by 185. The daily salary shall then be multiplied by the number of days worked beyond the 185 days. Pro rata adjustment will be made if the teacher is so employed for less than a full day. 2. Extended work that is in the form of teaching activities that are more closely associated with, but not limited to, summer school, curriculum development or planning, shall be compensated as provided for in Section 4 or Section 5 hereof.
