Extra Trips. A. Field trips (extra trips) shall be provided by rotation on a list composed of regular drivers who volunteer in descending order of classification seniority (defined in Article 39). B. Extra trips shall be posted upon receipt by the Transportation Supervisor. The time-stamped sheet for each posted trip shall be available to employees for inspection. C. When an extra trip/field trip is received by the Transportation Supervisor less than one (1) hour before the departure time, the Transportation Supervisor may use his/her discretion in making the assignment. D. All trips less than one (1) hour will go to the driver who can take it. This trip is not part of the rotation and is assigned at the discretion of the Transportation Supervisor. E. Seniority rotation lists shall be utilized in the following categories: (1) Regular Trips - trips that do not interfere with employees’ other jobs in the District (2) Pick-up trips (3) Saturday-Sunday trips (4) Special Trips – scheduled to depart during regular P.M. bus route times (5) Day Trips – trips that occur only between 8:40 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. F. When any extra trip conflicts with a driver’s regular A.M., Midday or P.M. contracted assignment, the driver shall take his/her contracted run unless approved by the Transportation Supervisor to have a sub driver take the regular contracted run. Similarly, if an extra Day Trip conflicts with a driver’s other regularly assigned job in the District (e.g., work in the cafeteria), the driver must complete his/her regularly assigned job unless the Transportation Supervisor and the driver’s immediate supervisor in the other regularly assigned job mutually agree to release the driver from his/her other regularly assigned job. If a driver cannot get approval from his/her immediate supervisor in the other regularly assigned job, the driver may trade his/her trip to another driver if both agree. However, the trip may only be traded with another Day Trip. If the driver does not get approval from the applicable immediate supervisor or cannot trade his/her assigned Day Trip to a fellow driver, the driver will be passed on the assigned Day Trip. G. Drivers may mutually agree to trade or exchange assigned extra trips with advance approval of the Transportation Supervisor. H. The Board retains the authority to employ charter buses to transport students on Board-funded Extra Trips. This authority shall be used only up to five times per year. Nothing herein, however, shall prevent the Board from utilizing charter buses to transport students on non-Board-funded Extra Trips (e.g., trips paid for by the Booster Club).

Extra Trips. A. Field trips a. Extra trips, (extra except for overnight trips) ), shall be provided by rotation on defined as a list composed run not designated as a regularly assigned route outside of regular drivers who volunteer in descending order the District. Drivers will be paid a minimum of classification seniority two (defined in Article 39)2) hours pay for any extra trip.
B. b. Forty (40) hour per week employees will be limited to two (2) extra trips per month and will not be eligible for weekend trips. If no other drivers are available, the District has the right to authorize overtime for the run.
c. If a school vehicle leaves the District without students for service or repairs, the Employer will assign the vehicle to a regular bus driver, provided that this assignment does not conflict with a regular route assignment. This provision will not apply during vacation periods or in instances where the buses are leased and the leasing company provides transport.
d. Extra trips trip time shall begin with the pre-trip inspection and continue until the driver returns to District facilities. Pre-trip inspections and end of trip cleanings of fifteen (15) minutes maximum may be included as time worked only if actually performed.
e. When a bus driver is offered an extra duty run that conflicts with his/her regularly assigned route(s), the driver shall choose between the regular run and the extra run, and shall be posted upon receipt by paid for the Transportation Supervisorrun driven. The time-stamped sheet for each posted first hour of trip pay, when a bus driver chooses an extra duty run over his/her regular run, will be at the regular run rate.
f. If a driver reports to work and his/her extra trip has been canceled without advance notification, the driver shall be available compensated at the regular run rate. There is no requirement to employees compensate the driver for inspection.
C. When an extra trip/field the canceled trip if the driver is received by the Transportation Supervisor less than notified at least one (1) hour before the departure time, scheduled reporting time for the Transportation Supervisor may use his/her discretion in making the assignment.
D. All trips less than extra trip. Payment for cancellation shall be for one (1) hour will go to the driver who can take it. This trip is not part of the rotation and is assigned at the discretion of the Transportation Supervisorregular run.
E. Seniority rotation lists shall be utilized in the following categories:g. Meal allotments
(1) Regular Trips - trips that do not interfere For any extra trip in excess of four (4) hours meals will be reimbursed for the actual amount up to $8.00 with employees’ other jobs in the Districtreceipt.
(2) Pick-up trips
(3) Saturday-Sunday trips
(4) Special Trips – scheduled to depart during regular P.M. bus route times
(5) Day Trips – trips that occur only between 8:40 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

If the driver does not get approval from the applicable immediate supervisor or cannot trade his/her assigned Day Trip to a fellow driver, the driver receipt.
h. Extra trips will be passed assigned as follows:
1. All regular route drivers will be placed on the assigned Day Triproster.
G. Drivers may mutually agree to trade or exchange assigned extra trips with advance approval of the Transportation Supervisor.

Extra Trips. A. Field School transportation will be used for most school related events. The softball Petosky trip, those trips (extra trips) using occasional commercial transport, and student groups with low numbers are exceptions.
1. Employees shall be provided by rotation on paid: x$13.00/Hr. 2021-2022 x$13.00/Hr. 2022-2023 x$14.00/Hr. 2023-2024 x$14.00/Hr. 2024-2025
2. An employee who gives up a list composed run for an extra trip will get first hour's pay of the extra trip at their regular drivers who volunteer in descending order run rate of classification seniority (defined in Article 39)pay.
B. Extra trips 3. Employees shall be posted upon receipt by paid ten ($10.00) dollars per meal allowance, if they drive prior to and end after the Transportation Supervisor. The time-stamped sheet for each posted trip shall be available to employees for inspection.time periods listed below:
C. When (a) 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
(b) If an extra trip/field trip is received by the Transportation Supervisor leaves less than one (1) hour before immediately following a P.M. (night) run, Tech Center, A.M. or B4K/T5 a meal allowance will be paid. Drivers will be paid for breakfast and driving time on overnight trips. Reasonable accommodations will be provided.
(c) First (1st) hour of extra on a Saturday or Sunday shall be at the departure time, employee's run regular rate.
4. A list of drivers for extra trips shall be arranged according to seniority order. Extra trips shall be scheduled by the Transportation Supervisor may use his/her discretion from such list, with assignments rotated in making seniority order. When a driver refused an extra trip, it will be counted as a trip driven for rotation purposes. Skill Center drivers will be allowed to give up that run for extra trips. In the assignment.
D. All trips less than one (1) hour will go to the event a driver who can take it. This trip is not part available for an extra trip the Director of the rotation and is assigned at the discretion of the Transportation Supervisor.
E. Seniority rotation lists shall be utilized in use the following categoriesprocedure:

(2) Pick-up tripsAttempt to obtain any regular driver not on the rotation list.

(5) Day Trips – trips that occur only between 8:40 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
F. When any extra trip conflicts with a driver’s regular A.M., Midday or P.M. contracted assignment, If unsuccessful the Director shall contact the driver who is first on the rotation list and that driver must take the trip.
5. When a driver is scheduled for an extra trip, they shall take his/her contracted be expected to make the run unless approved by the Transportation Supervisor they give notice that they will be unable to have a sub driver take the regular contracted run. Similarly, if Said notice shall be given four (4) hours prior to the scheduled departure time so that another driver may be scheduled.
6. Each employee who takes an extra Day Trip conflicts with a driver’s other regularly assigned job in bus trip must be at the District (e.g., work in the cafeteria), the driver must complete his/her regularly assigned job unless the Transportation Supervisor and the driver’s immediate supervisor in the other regularly assigned job mutually agree to release the driver from his/her other regularly assigned job. If a driver cannot get approval from his/her immediate supervisor in the other regularly assigned job, the driver may trade his/her trip to another driver if both agree.
