Common use of Failsafe Clause in Contracts

Failsafe. In accordance with NHS Screening Programmes’ standards and protocols the provider shall comply with the NDESP guidance on failsafe. It should ensure that it establishes, maintains and follows quality assurance and failsafe processes. The Provider will:  Undertake systematic validation and cleansing of both data received from General Practices and data relating to people with diabetes excluded and suspended from screening  Ensure that results have been sent to people who have attended screening, General Practices and other appropriate clinicians for example paediatrician, obstetrician, diabetologist  Ensure referrals have been processed appropriately  Track the progress of each person with diabetes along the screening pathway using the Programme’s management software according to national guidance.  Ensure safe systems are in place for referrals referring into and out of the Programme (e.g. to/from the HES)  Ensure safe systems are in place between different elements of the Programme (▇.▇.▇▇/▇▇▇▇ surveillance clinics).
