Common use of Falling on Days of Rest Clause in Contracts

Falling on Days of Rest. 14.2.1 When any of the above holidays fall on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day the following Monday shall be deemed to be a holiday. 14.2.2 When any of the above holidays fall on a Sunday and is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday (or Tuesday where the preceding clause already applies to the Monday) shall be deemed to be the holiday.

Falling on Days of Rest. 14.2.1 (a) When any of the above holidays fall on a Saturday Saturday/Sunday and is not proclaimed by Employer as being observed on some other day the following Monday shall be deemed to be a holiday. 14.2.2 (b) When any of the above holidays fall on a Sunday and is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday (or Tuesday where the preceding clause already applies to the Monday) shall be deemed to be the holiday.
