Common use of Field Measurements Clause in Contracts

Field Measurements. Before undertaking each part of the construction, the CONTRACTOR shall carefully study and compare the Contract Documents and check and verify pertinent figures shown thereon and all applicable field measurements. The CONTRACTOR shall promptly report in writing to the COUNTY any conflict, error, or discrepancy that the CONTRACTOR or any of its subcontractors or Suppliers may discover and shall obtain a written interpretation or clarification from the COUNTY before proceeding with any Work affected. The CONTRACTOR shall remain liable to the COUNTY for failure to report any conflict, error, ambiguity, or discrepancy in the Contract Documents prepared by the CONTRACTOR.
