Filing of Formal Charges. If informal efforts to resolve the matter (when called for) are not successful, the academic Department Chair shall file formal charges and a recommendation for suspension/dismissal. The written notice shall be given within ninety days after the University becomes aware of the matters giving rise to the charge, or of the latest incidence of a recurring or persistent problem (though this period may be extended for an additional thirty days in order to conduct an informal resolution process). Such charges and recommendations shall be filed with the appropriate ▇▇▇▇ with copies to the faculty member and the Union and shall include: i. A detailed statement of the charges, with reasonable particularity; ii.
