Filing of Grievances. Grievances shall be filed on a form agreed upon by the parties, and attached hereto as Appendix A. Such grievance shall contain a brief statement of the nature of the grievance, and the specific provision(s) of the Agreement alleged to have been violated. Failure to process a grievance within the time limit noted above shall be deemed waived.

A grievance involving the dismissal of an employee shall be presented in accordance with the following procedures, except that such a grievance shall be commenced at step 2 by the filing of a written grievance with the Department Director within ten (10) workdays after the employee has been notified of the dismissal.
