Filling Overtime. In the event it becomes necessary to fill an overtime position on 36 a specific shift overtime for Communications Sergeants will be offered first to Communications 37 Sergeants then to Telecommunicators. Assigning overtime to Telecommunicators will adhere to 38 Telecommunicators “Filling Overtime” process. 39 40 Section 16.8. Leave Requests and Hours. Any leave request form submitted after 4:30 p.m. 41 shall be considered as submitted on the next business day (Monday Friday, excluding holidays) at 42 8:00 a.m. and will be subject to the notification requirements as stated in the contract. 43 44 If a Communications Sergeant’s shift hours are changed within five (5) calendar days before the 45 beginning of such scheduled shift, the Communications Sergeant will be given the opportunity to 1 vacancy. 3 If a Communications Sergeant’s shift hours are changed more than five (5) calendar days before 4 the beginning of such scheduled shift, the Communications Sergeant will be required to work such 5 shift and will not be eligible for overtime.
