Float Holiday Sample Clauses
Float Holiday. Each employee who has completed thirty (30) calendar days or more continuous service prior to the third Monday in February, is entitled to a floating holiday in lieu of Heritage Day. In the event that Heritage Day is declared a national and/or provincial holiday, the floating holiday will be discontinued. The floating holiday shall be taken at a time in the calendar year mutually agreed upon between the employee and the employee's supervisor and scheduled a minimum of two (2) weeks in advance. In the event scheduling of the holiday is in dispute the matter may be referred to the Director of Employee Relations or designate and the employee's supervisor for resolve.
Float Holiday. All Registered Nurses who have been employed in a regular status for at least one (1) year shall be eligible for three (3) float holidays per year. The first three days an employee schedules off in the calendar year will be counted as float holidays providing the employee does not otherwise object in writing in which case the regular provisions shall apply. Requests for scheduling float holidays shall follow the same guidelines as for vacation requests. Float holidays must be used within the same calendar year in which they are accrued. If an employee requests a float holiday and that request is denied due to staffing requirements, the employee may request and be granted payment for the requested but unused holiday.
Float Holiday. Any employee whose birthday or anniversary date of employment falls in the period between July 22nd and September 1st, inclusive shall take the twelfth holiday on such birthday or anniversary date; if both dates for the nurse falls within that period, she shall have her choice. For all other nurses, the holiday shall take place on the third Monday in August.

Float Holiday. The float holiday will be scheduled for full-time employees at a mutually agreeable time prior to the end of the calendar year.
Float Holiday. The Employer will recognize one (1) float holiday which will be mutually scheduled between the Employer and employee other than the period between December 15th and January 8th of any year. Application must be made in writing to the employee’s Supervisor two (2) weeks in advance of the designated date.
Float Holiday. In the event another holiday is proclaimed by statute, the floating day shall be removed from the above list and the new statutory day added to that list. The floating day may be taken at a time mutually agreeable to the Home and employee concerned.
Float Holiday. The Employer recognizes the "float" holiday which may be taken at any time the employee chooses, other than the period between December 15 and January 15 of any year. Application must be made in writing to the Nursing Director or Administrator four (4) weeks in advance of the designated date. No more than two (2) employees may be scheduled for a float holiday at one time. Under normal circumstances, an employee will receive the day off with pay. However, if an employee is required to work on her designated holiday, she will receive her holiday pay plus one and one-half (1-1/2) times her applicable rate for all hours worked. All new employees must be employed for a minimum of six (6) calendar months before being entitled to the float holiday.

Scheduling of Float Holiday. A Float Holiday will be scheduled on a date mutually agreed to by the Employee and the Employer. If Agreement is not reached, one day will be added to the Employee’s vacation bank.
Float Holiday. The Employer will provide each Permanent Employee with one days leave with pay per fiscal year to be taken annually as a Float Holiday with prior approval of supervisor. One day is equal to 8 hours for group home Employees and 7 hours for the remainder of Employees. This entitlement will be pro-rated for part-time Employees. Employees who commence employment with the Agency after April 1st in any given fiscal year will have their time pro-rated. Signed this day of 2007. FOR THE EMPLOYER FOR THE UNION LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING RE: SHIFT PREMIUM The Employer will pay a shift premium as follows: Residential (Group Home, Treatment ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Care): Those Employees working any shift as a Residential Worker 1, Residential Worker 2, Treatment ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Care Support Worker or Parented Model Group Home Support Worker between the hours of 4:30 p.m. Friday and 7:00 a.m. Monday will be paid a shift premium of 0.50 cents per hour. Supervised Access Workers and Ontario Early Years Practitioners who are required to work an evening after 7:15 p.m. will be paid a shift premium of 0.50 cents per hour. Should a shift for Early Years or Supervised Access be introduced for a Sunday a shift premium of $1.00 per hour will be paid. In all cases the shift premium will be paid one pay period in arrears. An Employee required to work on a paid holiday shall be paid time and one-half their regular rate of pay for each hour worked and shall, in addition, be granted a lieu day. For clarity, a paid holiday is determined by the day which the shift ends. Lieu days shall be taken at a mutually agreed time. Such agreement shall not be unreasonably withheld by either party....
