Common use of Float Pay Clause in Contracts

Float Pay. A nurses not assigned to the Resource Pool shall be eligible to receive a three dollar ($3) per hour premium on occasions when they float outside their assigned clinical group (whether inpatient or outpatient) in which they are deemed competent to work. Clinical Groups are outlined in Appendix D of this Agreement. A nurse floated to another clinical group to care for a patient from their clinical group (for example, an ICU RN floated to the ED to care for an ICU patient) is not eligible for float pay.
