FOR ARTICULATION. This class provides students with a comprehensive medical vocabulary, including pronunciation, spelling, meaning of prefixes, suffixes and medical word roots, the process of defining medical words based on word roots, an understanding of anatomy, basic physiology and the disease process through body systems. Students will associate abbreviations, symbols, diagnostic procedures, pharmaceuticals and treatment for each of the ten body systems. (Integumentary, Gastrointestinal (Digestive), Respiratory, Cardiovascular, Lymph/Immune, Musculoskeletal, Female Reproduction, Genitourinary, Endocrine, Nervous, and a special unit in Special Senses)

FOR ARTICULATION. This course is designed for students who have a desire to begin the exciting process of discovering how the human body works. Those interested in an introductory level course in human anatomy and physiology to prepare them for the more comprehensive BIOSC-040 and BIOSC-045 should find this class helpful. The course is also required for many LVN, Paramedic and Firefighter Programs.The laboratory will combine simple physiological experiments and demonstrations with study of anatomical models, pre-dissected human cadavers and preserved organs.

  • Application of Article This Article is intended only as a basis of calculating overtime payments, and nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as a guarantee of hours of work per day, week, tour of duty, work period or year.

  • Applicability of This Article Redemption of Securities of any series (whether by operation of a sinking fund or otherwise) as permitted or required by any form of Security issued pursuant to this Indenture shall be made in accordance with such form of Security and this Article; provided, however, that if any provision of any such form of Security shall conflict with any provision of this Article, the provision of such form of Security shall govern.
