Formal Steps. 1) Step One The aggrieved and/or his representative shall present the grievance on the adopted form to his Captain or the Captain's designee no later than twelve (12) calendar days after the informal meeting or, in the absence of such meeting, no later than seven (7) calendar days after the request for a meeting was made. After submission of the grievance in this step, a meeting before the City Manager or designee shall be held if the City Manager or designee deems it necessary. The City Manager or designee shall submit a written response on the adopted form within twelve (12) calendar days of the submission of the grievance to him.

Formal Steps. Step 1) Step One . The aggrieved grievance shall be presented in writing by the grievant or designee to the ▇▇▇▇ of the grievant's Faculty or to the Library Director, as appropriate, within 45 days from the date on which the alleged grievance occurred or from the date on which the grievant reasonably should have known about the matter being grieved. The ▇▇▇▇ or Li- brary Director, as appropriate, shall meet with the grievant and/or his representative or her designee within 5 working days from the day of original presentation of the grievance. Said ▇▇▇▇ or Library Director shall present respond to the grievance on in writing within 10 working days from the adopted form date of said meeting. If the grievance is not satisfactorily settled or withdrawn at Step 1, it shall be subject to his Captain the provisions of Step 2. Step 2. Within 10 working days of receipt of the Step 1 decision, the grievance shall be presented by the grievant or designee to the Captain's designee no later than twelve (12) calendar days after the informal meeting orChief Academic Officer, in the absence of such meeting, no later than seven (7) calendar days after the request for a meeting was made. The Captain or his designee or her design- ee. The City Manager or designee shall submit a written response on the adopted form within twelve (12) calendar days of the submission of the grievance to himArbitration under and in accordance with the Voluntary Labor Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association, as they exist from time to time. The ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Union and the CUFCT will accept ▇▇▇▇▇ Wit- ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ as the designated Arbitrator for all arbitrations under this Agreement.

Formal Steps. 1Step One: All disciplinary grievances must be signed by the individual grievants prior to the filing of the Step 1 (or Step II) Step One appeal or within two (2) workdays of the filing of the appeal. The aggrieved grievance shall be reduced to writing and submitted to the department head within fourteen (14) calendar days, excluding holidays, from the date upon which the bargaining unit member first gained or should reasonably have gained knowledge of the alleged violation of the Agreement or policy took place. The grievance shall be signed by the grievant and/or his representative Union representative, and shall present set forth the nature of the dispute, the relief sought and the specific provision of the Agreement/policy alleged to have been violated. The department head shall answer the grievance on the adopted form to his Captain or the Captain's designee no later than twelve (12) calendar days after the informal meeting or, in the absence of such meeting, no later than seven (7) calendar days after the request for a meeting was made. The Captain or his designee shall submit a written response on the adopted forms writing within seven (7) calendar days days, excluding holidays, after submission of the grievance, or the its receipt. This grievances filed initially at Step Two is the final step for written reprimands. 3) Step Three If the aggrieved, who faces suspension, demotion or dismissal, is not satisfied with the disposition of the grievance in Step Two, he and/or his representative may submit it on the adopted form II pursuant to the City Manager or designee fifth paragraph of 14.02C, must be filed within seven twenty-one (721) calendar days of the written response date upon which the bargaining unit members first gained or should reasonably have gained knowledge of the action which is the subject of the grievance. The Vice President for Human Resources or his/her representative will convene a hearing within twenty-one (21) calendar days, excluding weekends and holidays, after receipt of the grievance unless extended by mutual agreement. The bargaining unit members may be represented at such hearing by the Union representative or designee. The Vice President for Human Resources or his/her representative will render a decision within twenty-one (21) calendar days from the date of the conclusion of the hearing. Step Three Arbitration: In the event the grievance has not been satisfactorily resolved in Step Two or from and the final date a response was due, grievance involved an alleged violation of the Agreement as described in the absence definition of a written response.
