GENERAL AND MISCELLANEOUS. 1. Any Employee leaving the service of the Company will, upon request, be furnished with a letter setting forth the Company's record of his job classifications, stating his length of service and rate of pay at the time of leaving the Company. 2. Suitable rainsuits shall be provided and maintained by the Company. The Company will furnish uniform jackets for Employees and will have uniform parkas and coveralls available in stock for Employees to check out when needed. 3. The Company agrees to provide the Union with bulletin board space Marked "Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association" IBT Airline Division where Union notices of interest to the Employees may be posted. No political, inflammatory, controversial, or derogatory material will be permitted thereon. 4. The Company shall cause to be printed and distributed to each Employee a copy of this Agreement and shall provide the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association IBT Airline Division with fifty (50) copies of the Labor Agreement. 5. Airline trip passes will be issued to qualified Employees in accordance with existing Company policy. 6. Any deviation from this Agreement may be made by mutual agreement between the Company and the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association IBT Airline Division. Such mutual agreement must be in writing and signed by the parties thereto. 7. The Company shall continue to allow Employees a reasonable amount of time to wash-up prior to punching out. 8. Supervisors/Tech Supervisors and higher ranking officials shall not be permitted to perform work of any hourly rated job covered by this Agreement except in emergencies or instructing or training of Employees or assisting in troubleshooting. 9. Where Employees have become physically unable to perform their regular work, the Union and the Company shall cooperate in attempting to place such Employees in a position within their classification for which they are qualified and able to perform, or by mutual agreement in a lower classification for which they are qualified and able to perform. 10. The Employee will be allowed four (4) work days leave with pay at the Employee's regular rate of pay for the purpose of attending the funeral of a member of his or her immediate family. Such days shall be taken within the days immediately preceding and/or following the funeral. Members of the immediate family shall consist of the Employee's mother, father, or legal guardian in lieu thereof, spouse, children, brother, sister, grandparents, mother-in-law and father- in-law. If additional days are required, such days may be taken without pay or deducted from the Employee's vacation allowance. 11. If an Employee's regularly scheduled work shift begins on one calendar day and extends into the following calendar day, the day worked (for determining pay and holidays, etc.) shall be considered to be the day on which his shift started. 12. The Company agrees to provide a locked, secure area where Employees' tools and tool boxes may be kept. By providing such facilities, however, the Company does not thereby insure the safety of any tools or tool boxes kept therein, nor does it assume the liability of replacing any items which may be lost or stolen therefrom, except that the Company will reimburse an Employee covered by this Agreement for the loss by fire of his personal tools and tool box occasioned by a fire on Company premises or while the Employee is on Company business. It is further understood and agreed that when a mechanic is required by the Company to travel in connection with emergency field service to restore Company aircraft or equipment to service, the Company will reimburse such mechanic if his personally owned tools are lost or stolen while being shipped to or from the downline station or while such mechanic is at the downline station performing the emergency field service. This Agreement is subject to the following limitations and conditions: a. To qualify for reimbursement under this section, the Employee must have on file with the Company a complete inventory of his personal tools regularly used on Company business and kept on Company premises or used in connection with emergency field service. Such inventory is subject to verification by the Company. Tools which are added to the Employee's tool box after the inventory will not be covered until the tools are added to the inventory; b. Tools which are not essential to the performance of the job will not be permitted to be included in the inventory; c. Missing individual tools are not covered; d. Tool boxes excessively damaged while being shipped for field service use shall be repaired or replace. 13. All orders or notices to an Employee covered by the Agreement involving a transfer, promotion, demotion, layoff, discipline, or leave of absence shall be given in writing with a copy to the Union. No letter or notice for violation of Company rules will be used in the determining of discipline if such notice has been in the Employee's file for twelve (12) months and there has been no recurrence of the same offense within the twelve (12) month period. All letter or reprimand or warning will be removed from an Employee's file after twelve (12) months from date letter is placed in the file. 14. When an Employee passes his probationary period he will be issued a set of five

GENERAL AND MISCELLANEOUS. A. Subject to applicable law, reasonable smoking and refreshments during hours of duty will be permitted in designated areas, provided an employee shall not leave the job to indulge in such smoking and refreshments without permission.
B. As appropriate, staff shall be provided with customer contact uniforms or workwear to the specifications stated in the Company’s Uniform regulations without cost to the employee. Employees losing such garments shall be required to replace same at their own expense. When an employee leaves the service of the Company, such garments will be returned to the Company.
1. Each affected employee will receive by December 15th of each year the sum of $250.00 to cover all cleaning and laundering costs incurred during the year. This amount will be pro-rated for employees who may have worked less than a full year. Employees assigned to Concorde Team will be eligible to receive such payment.
2. This allowance shall not apply to employees whose uniforms are presently being delivered or laundered at Company expense by an out- side cleaning service. Employees who wear uniforms which are laundered by the Company will be issued a minimum of five (5) shirts and two (2) pairs of trousers each week.
3. This reimbursement shall not apply to extraordinary expenses such as repairs or alterations.
4. British Airways reserves the right to change this procedure by contracting with a service which will provide cleaning and laundering of entire uniforms at Company expense. Such change would be made at the beginning of the calendar year.
C. A place shall be provided inside all Company shops and hangars marked “International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers” where Union notices of interest to the employees will be posted; however, no political circulars, propaganda or advertisements will be placed on these bulletin boards.
D. It is hereby mutually agreed and understood that the Company agrees to continue its present practice of paying the cost of parking at Airports where employees covered in this Agreement are located.
E. It is also agreed that where at any airport the parking facilities available to employees are drastically changed the Company will negotiate the changed circumstances with representatives of the I.A.M.
F. The Company shall provide each employee covered by this Agreement with a copy of the Agreement printed in a Union shop and bound in a convenient pocket-size booklet.
G. It is understood and agreed that the Company will not lock out any employee covered hereby, and the Union will not authorize or take part in any strike, or picketing of Company premises during the life of this Agreement, until the procedures for settling disputes as provided herein, and as provided by the Railway Labor Act as amended, have been exhausted.
H. The Chairperson of Shop Stewards across all Agreements shall be scheduled to work within the operation four hours per day. The other four hours, per day, of his/her work day he/she shall be considered over and above the normal requirements for that shift and he/she will be free to conduct union related affairs under the Agreements and in so doing will get clearance from his/her Section Head or his designee to enter work areas. However, it is understood that the provisions of Article I (b) will apply relative to such activities.
I. The IAM Negotiating Committee may consist of two employee representatives per contract. The President & Directing General Chairperson of District 142 will be the one who determines whether it will be one or two representatives per contract.

L. Full-time employees will be permitted to engage in an outside profession, trade, or business while employed by British Airways. Full-time employees who wish to engage in outside profession, trade or business while employed by British Airways will be required to:
1. Provide to the People Department written notice of leaving their secondary employer details (name of secondary employer/company, address and telephone contact, and number of hours regularly scheduled to work) prior to starting the Companynew job/occupation.

3. No political, inflammatory, controversial, or derogatory material will be permitted thereon.
4. The Company shall cause to be printed and distributed to each Employee a copy of this Agreement and shall provide the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association IBT Airline Division with fifty (50) copies of the Labor Agreement.

(g) The Chairperson of the Shop Stewards across all Agreements shall be scheduled to work a shift that has at least four (4) consecutive hours per day scheduled within normal business hours (09:00 - 17:00) even if the employee does not possess the requisite seniority to bid such shift. For four consecutive hours, per day, of his/her work day he/she shall be considered over and above the normal requirements for that shift and he/she will be free to conduct union related affairs under the Agreements and in so doing will get clearance from his/her Section Head or his designee to enter work areas. However, it is understood that the provisions of article 1 (b) will be relative to such activities. For purposes of disciplinary hearings, an employee may request the Chairperson of Shop Stewards, provided the Chairperson is from the employee's respective contract, or their station or the Chief Shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ from their respective contract to act as their representative. The representative will be released from duty to attend the hearing, subject to operational requirements, paid for lost straight time hours and, if required, provided with free space available travel in line with agreed pass policies. The hearings may be rescheduled as necessary until such time as the Company can release the representative from duty.
(h) The IAM Negotiating Committee may consist of two employee representatives per contract. The President and Directing General Chairperson of District 142 will be the one who determines whether it will be one or two representatives per contract. British Airways will pay the wages of (1) one union representative per contract during negotiations, but not overtime. Expenses will be the responsibility of the IAM. When Shop Stewards or other employees wish to undertake union activities at the request of the IAMAW, the Company, subject to operational requirements and without pay, will endeavor to release them.
(i) Should there be any change during the life of this Agreement in license requirements or Company approvals, all employees shall be given at least six (6) months from the date of change to obtain such license without change in status or pay.
(j) Any Employee employee leaving the service of the Company will, upon on request, be furnished with a letter setting forth the Companyindividual's record of his job classifications, stating his qualifications and length of service.
(k) If new equipment is put into service and rate by the Company, employees covered by this Agreement shall be given appropriate familiarization training on the new equipment without change of pay classification.

It is further understood that it is the employee's responsibility to keep an updated tool kit list on file with Engineering Management and agreed to ensure that when the kit is locked in a mechanic designated area. Management may, at any time inspect an employee's tool kit in order to ensure that the tools remain on the premises and verify that the tool kit list on file is accurate.
(n) Whenever hand tools are required by the Company to travel for use on foreign aircraft not in connection with emergency field service to restore Company aircraft or equipment to general service, the Company will reimburse such mechanic if his personally owned tools are lost or stolen while being shipped purchase and supply same at no cost to or from the downline station or while such mechanic is employee.
(o) Any charter flights operated by BA to manned on-line stations will be handled by employees covered by this Agreement. Flights into locations not manned by BA shall be handled at the downline station performing Company's discretion.
(p) At JFK only, towing and headset for technical reasons and light GSE maintenance (e.g. checking fluids, checking tire pressure, changing if required) will fall under the emergency field serviceMaintenance Representative/Mechanic job description. A Maintenance Representative/▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇(s) will be assigned, by management, to perform desk duties, including EWS and signaling. Management will have the right to perform these duties if there is a requirement for the Maintenance Representative/▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ assigned the desk function to work on aircraft. It will be at the company’s discretion to determine whether the work of, post de-icing inspection and associated paperwork, will continue to be performed by the Maintenance Representative/Mechanic or some other party. This Agreement is subject to the following limitations and conditions:
a. To qualify for reimbursement under this section, the Employee must have on file with the Company a complete inventory of his personal tools regularly used on Company business and kept on Company premises or used in connection with emergency field service. Such inventory is subject to verification by the Company. Tools which are added to the Employee's tool box after the inventory will not be covered until done on an ad hoc basis. The Company will notify the tools are added Union prior to the inventory;
b. Tools which are not essential to the performance start of the job winter season (October 1st) who will not handle this work throughout the upcoming winter season.
(q) Full-time employees will be permitted to engage in an outside profession, trade, or business while employed by British Airways. Full-time employees who wish to engage in outside profession, trade or business while employed by British Airways will be included in required to:
(1) Provide to the inventory;

d. Tool boxes excessively damaged while being shipped for field service use shall be repaired or replacePeople Department written notice of their secondary employer details (name of secondary employer/company, address and telephone contact, and number of hours regularly scheduled to work) prior to starting the new job/occupation.
13(2) Employees who are absent from work due to illness, short or long-term disability or occupational injury may not engage in a secondary occupation without permission from the People Department.
(r) The Company will be free to determine who performs the functions of all non-technical work including towing and push backs, head set operation, technical manual revisions and storage, ground service connections (air conditioning, electrical, fueling, lavatory), opening and closing of panels for ground service connections, opening of cabin doors, vehicle maintenance, ground equipment maintenance, wing-walking, marshalling. All orders or notices re-fueling and de-icing of airplanes including associated company paperwork, removing and replacing chocks, and sending required messages. In emergency situations, management may assign British Airways Mechanics and/or Maintenance Representatives to an Employee perform any of the above functions.
(s) Non-normal maintenance, such as the type carried out by small specialist AOG teams, can be carried out by such. The engineering staff will match, as far as staff can be made available from the operation, man for man, for the compliment of AOG team members working on said aircraft. For engineering major repairs that require specialized manufacturers repair teams that consist of over SIX (6) persons, the Company and Union will meet to discuss limited staffing.
(t) It is hereby mutually agreed and understood that the Company agrees to continue its present practice of paying the cost of parking at Airports where employees covered by in this Agreement are located. The representative will be released from duty to attend the hearing, subject to operational requirements, paid for lost straight time hours and, if required, provided with free space available travel in line with agreed pass policies. The hearings may be rescheduled as necessary until such time as the Company can release the representative from duty.
(h) The IAM Negotiating Committee may consist of two employee representatives per contract. The President and Directing General Chairperson of District 142 will be the one who determines whether it will be one or two representatives per contract. British Airways will pay the wages of (1) one union representative per contract during negotiations, but not overtime. Expenses will be the responsibility of the IAM. When Shop Stewards or other employees wish to undertake union activities at the request of the IAMAW, the Company, subject to operational requirements and without pay, will endeavor to release them.
(i) Should there be any change during the life of this Agreement in license requirements or Company approvals, all employees shall be given at least six (6) months from the date of change to obtain such license without change in status or pay.
(j) Any Employee employee leaving the service of the Company will, upon on request, be furnished with a letter setting forth the Companyindividual's record of his job classifications, stating his qualifications and length of service.
(k) If new equipment is put into service and rate by the Company, employees covered by this Agreement shall be given appropriate familiarization training on the new equipment without change of pay classification.
(l) Employees covered by this Agreement shall not be required to work on aircraft outside of hangars during inclement weather when hangar space is available to the Company. This clause shall not apply to emergency work on aircraft for immediate service or work of short duration. Suitable rain suits or protective outer garments shall be kept available at the time of leaving all shops or points by the Company.
2. Suitable rainsuits shall (m) Insurance will be provided and maintained by the Company. The Company will furnish uniform jackets for Employees and will have uniform parkas and coveralls available in stock for Employees to check out when needed.
3. The Company agrees to provide the Union with bulletin board space Marked "Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association" IBT Airline Division where Union notices of interest without cost to the Employees may be posted. No political, inflammatory, controversial, or derogatory material will be permitted thereon.
4. The Company shall cause to be printed and distributed to each Employee a copy of this Agreement and shall provide the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association IBT Airline Division with fifty (50) copies of the Labor Agreement.
5. Airline trip passes will be issued to qualified Employees in accordance with existing Company policy.
6. Any deviation from this Agreement may be made by mutual agreement between the Company and the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association IBT Airline Division. Such mutual agreement must be in writing and signed by the parties thereto.
7. The Company shall continue to allow Employees a reasonable amount of time to wash-up prior to punching out.
8. Supervisors/Tech Supervisors and higher ranking officials shall not be permitted to perform work of any hourly rated job covered by this Agreement except in emergencies or instructing or training of Employees or assisting in troubleshooting.
9. Where Employees have become physically unable to perform their regular work, the Union and the Company shall cooperate in attempting to place such Employees in a position within their classification for which they are qualified and able to perform, or by mutual agreement in a lower classification for which they are qualified and able to perform.
10. The Employee will be allowed four (4) work days leave with pay at the Employee's regular rate of pay for the purpose of attending the funeral of a member of his or her immediate family. Such days shall be taken within the days immediately preceding and/or following the funeral. Members of the immediate family shall consist of the Employee's mother, father, or legal guardian in lieu thereof, spouse, children, brother, sister, grandparents, mother-in-law and father- in-law. If additional days are required, such days may be taken without pay or deducted from the Employee's vacation allowance.
11. If an Employee's regularly scheduled work shift begins on one calendar day and extends into the following calendar day, the day worked (for determining pay and holidays, etc.) shall be considered to be the day on which his shift started.
12. The Company agrees to provide a locked, secure area where Employees' tools and tool boxes may be kept. By providing such facilities, however, the Company does not thereby insure the safety of any tools or tool boxes kept therein, nor does it assume the liability of replacing any items which may be lost or stolen therefrom, except that the Company will reimburse an Employee covered by this Agreement for the employees against loss by fire or theft, of his personal tools the entire tool kit up to a maximum of $3,250 and tool box occasioned by including a fire on Company premises or while the Employee is on Company business$50 deductible clause. It is further understood that it is the employee's responsibility to keep an updated tool kit list on file with Engineering Management and agreed to ensure that when the kit is locked in a mechanic designated area. Management may, at any time inspect an employee's tool kit in order to ensure that the tools remain on the premises and verify that the tool kit list on file is accurate.
(n) Whenever hand tools are required by the Company to travel for use on foreign aircraft not in connection with emergency field service to restore Company aircraft or equipment to general service, the Company will reimburse such mechanic if his personally owned tools are lost or stolen while being shipped purchase and supply same at no cost to or from the downline station or while such mechanic is employee.
(o) Any charter flights operated by BA to manned on-line stations will be handled by employees covered by this Agreement. Flights into locations not manned by BA shall be handled at the downline station performing Company's discretion.
(p) At JFK only, towing and headset for technical reasons and light GSE maintenance (e.g. checking fluids, checking tire pressure, changing if required) will fall under the emergency field serviceMaintenance Representative/Mechanic job description. A Maintenance Representative/Mechanic(s) will be assigned, by management, to perform desk duties, including EWS and signaling. Management will have the right to perform these duties if there is a requirement for the Maintenance Representative/Mechanic assigned the desk function to work on aircraft. It will be at the company’s discretion to determine whether the work of, post de-icing inspection and associated paperwork, will continue to be performed by the Maintenance Representative/Mechanic or some other party. This Agreement is subject to the following limitations and conditions:
a. To qualify for reimbursement under this section, the Employee must have on file with the Company a complete inventory of his personal tools regularly used on Company business and kept on Company premises or used in connection with emergency field service. Such inventory is subject to verification by the Company. Tools which are added to the Employee's tool box after the inventory will not be covered until done on an ad hoc basis. The Company will notify the tools are added Union prior to the inventory;
b. Tools which are not essential to the performance start of the job winter season (October 1st) who will not handle this work throughout the upcoming winter season.
(q) Full-time employees will be permitted to engage in an outside profession, trade, or business while employed by British Airways. Full-time employees who wish to engage in outside profession, trade or business while employed by British Airways will be included in required to:
(1) Provide to the inventory;
c. Missing individual tools are not covered;
d. Tool boxes excessively damaged while being shipped for field service use shall be repaired or replacePeople Department written notice of their secondary employer details (name of secondary employer/company, address and telephone contact, and number of hours regularly scheduled to work) prior to starting the new job/occupation.
13(2) Employees who are absent from work due to illness, short or long term disability or occupational injury may not engage in a secondary occupation without permission from the People Department.
(r) The Company will be free to determine who performs the functions of all non-technical work including towing and push backs, head set operation, technical manual revisions and storage, ground service connections (air conditioning, electrical, fuelling, lavatory), opening and closing of panels for ground service connections, opening of cabin doors, vehicle maintenance, ground equipment maintenance, wing-walking, marshalling. All orders or notices re-fueling and de-icing of airplanes including associated company paperwork, removing and replacing chocks, and sending required messages. In emergency situations, management may assign British Airways Mechanics and/or Maintenance Representatives to perform any of the above functions.
(s) At JFK, if there is a manager on shift and there is an Employee unplanned need for him to perform work that is covered by the Agreement involving engineering collective bargaining agreement, then it shall not be deemed a transfer, promotion, demotion, layoff, discipline, or leave of absence shall be given in writing with a copy to the Union. No letter or notice for violation of Company rules will be used the agreement if he does so, provided the manager notifies the senior maintenance representative on duty. This paragraph is not intended to eliminate overtime opportunities in accordance with the determining collective bargaining agreement. GENERAL AND MISCELLANEOUS. 1A. Service records shall be maintained for all employees by the Company and upon resignation or discharge from the service, the employee upon request, will be furnished with a copy of same. In discharge cases the employee and his Union Representative will have access to the service records applicable to the case prior to the holding of any investigation. In cases where it is necessary that an employee should be warned due to the caliber of his work and/or the general performance of his duties, such warning will be made to the employee in writing with a copy of the Local Chairman and the employee will be given a reasonable length of time to correct the matter.

F. The Company shall provide each employee covered by this Agreement with a copy of the Agreement in booklet form.
G. Except as provided in the Letter of Agreement relating to subcontracting; only employees under this contract shall perform contract work.
H. The Company will continue to pay parking fees for all employees covered by this Agreement.
I. Reasonable smoking and refreshments during the hours of duty will be permitted thereonin designated areas, provided an employee shall not leave the job to indulge in such smoking and refreshments without permission.
4J. Except as provided in the Duration provisions of this Agreement, it is understood and agreed that the Company will not lock out any employee covered hereby, and the Union will not authorize or take part in any strike or picketing of Company premises during the life of this Agreement, until the procedures of settling disputes as provided herein and as provided by the Railway Labor Act, as amended, have been exhausted.
K. Nothing in this Agreement shall prevent the Company from paying higher rates of compensation to any individual than those established herein.
L. In the interest of training Agents in all other phases of work, Supervisors may rotate work assignment on a daily basis; however, this authority shall not be used for purposes of discrimination.
M. Employees are expected to be well groomed and present a neat and businesslike appearance at all times while on duty. Employees not reporting to work in uniform may be subject to Progressive Discipline.
N. It is forbidden for any employee to engage in drinking alcoholic beverages while in uniform or when on duty or to come to work under the influence of alcohol. This prohibition also applies to narcotics, un-prescribed, and illegal drugs.
O. All employees must be approved and stay bondable as a condition of continued employment.
P. The Company will notify District #142 of any new hired employee(s) that will be covered by this Agreement as soon as practical. The Company shall cause provide District #142 with a corrected Seniority List once a year.
Q. Negotiating Committee: The two (2) employees on the Union’s Committee shall be compensated for rostered times on days on which negotiations are scheduled. E. Non-bargaining unit employees, including supervisory employees, not covered by this Agreement, shall not perform bargaining unit work which will result in a covered employee losing regular or overtime pay, except when training or instructing covered employees, or in case of an emergency. It is agreed that the protection of Company and customer property against the elements may be considered an emergency.
F. Locked bulletin boards will be provided by the Company at locations mutually agreed upon, marked "International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers," for posting of notices.
G. New employees shall be introduced to the Shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ on the first day of work.
H. Each employee covered by this Agreement will be furnished with a copy to of this Agreement provided by Menzies within 60 days of ratification of this Agreement.
I. In the Union. GENERAL AND MISCELLANEOUS. (a) Subject to applicable law, reasonable smoking and refreshments during hours of duty will be permitted in designated areas, provided an employee shall not leave the job to indulge in such smoking and refreshments without permission.
(b) The Company agrees that there shall be no established maximum age limit in the hiring of employees.
(c) As appropriate, staff shall be provided with customer contact uniforms or work-wear to the specifications stated in the Company's Uniform regulations without cost to the employee. Employees losing such garments shall be required to replace same at their own expense. When an employee leaves the service of the Company, such garments will be returned to the Company. Employees required to wear a uniform must report for the start of their shift in uniform. British Airways will assist in the laundering and cleaning of uniforms in the following manner:
1. Each affected employee will receive by December 15th of each year the sum of $250 to cover all cleaning and laundering costs incurred during the year. This amount will be pro-rated for employees who may have worked less than a full year.
2. This allowance shall not apply to employees whose uniforms are presently being delivered or laundered at Company expense by an outside cleaning service. Employees who wear uniforms, which are laundered by the Company, will be issued a minimum of five (5) shirts and two (2) pairs of trousers each week.
3. This reimbursement shall not apply to extraordinary expenses such as repairs or alterations.
4. British Airways reserves the right to change this procedure by contracting with a service, which will provide cleaning and laundering of uniforms at Company expense. Such change would be made at the beginning of the calendar year.
(d) A place shall be provided inside all Company shops and hangars marked "International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers" where Union notices of interest to the employees will be posted; however, no political circulars, propaganda or advertisements will be placed on these bulletin boards.
(e) The Company shall provide each employee covered by this Agreement with a copy of the Agreement printed in a Union shop and bound in a convenient pocket-size booklet.
(f) It is understood and agreed that the Company will not lock out any employee covered hereby, and the Union will not authorize or take part in any strike, or picketing of Company premises during the life of this Agreement, until the procedures for settling disputes as provided herein, and as provided by the Railway Labor Act as amended, have been exhausted.
(g) The Chairperson of the Shop Stewards across all Agreements shall be scheduled to work a shift that has at least four (4) consecutive hours per day scheduled within normal business hours (09:00 - 17:00) even if the employee does not possess the requisite seniority to bid such shift. For four consecutive hours, per day, of his/her work day he/she shall be considered over and above the normal requirements for that shift and he/she will be free to conduct union related affairs under the Agreements and in so doing will get clearance from his/her Section Head or his designee to enter work areas. However, it is understood that the provisions of article 1 (b) will be relative to such activities. For purposes of disciplinary hearings, an employee may request the Chairperson of Shop Stewards, provided the Chairperson is from the employee's respective contract, or their station or the Chief Shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ from their respective contract to act as their representative. When Shop Stewards or other employees wish to undertake union activities at the request of the IAMAW, the Company, subject to operational requirements and without pay, will endeavor to release them.
(i) Should there be any change during the life of this Agreement in license requirements or Company approvals, all employees shall be given at least six (6) months from the date of change to obtain such license without change in status or pay.
(j) Any Employee employee leaving the service of the Company will, upon on request, be furnished with a letter setting forth the Companyindividual's record of his job classifications, stating his qualifications and length of service.
(k) If new equipment is put into service and rate by the Company, employees covered by this Agreement shall be given appropriate familiarization training on the new equipment without change of pay classification.
(l) Employees covered by this Agreement shall not be required to work on aircraft outside of hangars during inclement weather when hangar space is available to the Company. This clause shall not apply to emergency work on aircraft for immediate service or work of short duration. Suitable rain suits or protective outer garments shall be kept available at the time of leaving all shops or points by the Company.
2. Suitable rainsuits shall (m) Insurance will be provided and maintained by the Company. The Company will furnish uniform jackets for Employees and will have uniform parkas and coveralls available in stock for Employees to check out when needed.
3. The Company agrees to provide the Union with bulletin board space Marked "Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association" IBT Airline Division where Union notices of interest without cost to the Employees may be posted. No political, inflammatory, controversial, or derogatory material will be permitted thereon.
4. The Company shall cause to be printed and distributed to each Employee a copy of this Agreement and shall provide the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association IBT Airline Division with fifty (50) copies of the Labor Agreement.
5. Airline trip passes will be issued to qualified Employees in accordance with existing Company policy.
6. Any deviation from this Agreement may be made by mutual agreement between the Company and the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association IBT Airline Division. Such mutual agreement must be in writing and signed by the parties thereto.
7. The Company shall continue to allow Employees a reasonable amount of time to wash-up prior to punching out.
8. Supervisors/Tech Supervisors and higher ranking officials shall not be permitted to perform work of any hourly rated job covered by this Agreement except in emergencies or instructing or training of Employees or assisting in troubleshooting.
9. Where Employees have become physically unable to perform their regular work, the Union and the Company shall cooperate in attempting to place such Employees in a position within their classification for which they are qualified and able to perform, or by mutual agreement in a lower classification for which they are qualified and able to perform.
10. The Employee will be allowed four (4) work days leave with pay at the Employee's regular rate of pay for the purpose of attending the funeral of a member of his or her immediate family. Such days shall be taken within the days immediately preceding and/or following the funeral. Members of the immediate family shall consist of the Employee's mother, father, or legal guardian in lieu thereof, spouse, children, brother, sister, grandparents, mother-in-law and father- in-law. If additional days are required, such days may be taken without pay or deducted from the Employee's vacation allowance.
11. If an Employee's regularly scheduled work shift begins on one calendar day and extends into the following calendar day, the day worked (for determining pay and holidays, etc.) shall be considered to be the day on which his shift started.
12. The Company agrees to provide a locked, secure area where Employees' tools and tool boxes may be kept. By providing such facilities, however, the Company does not thereby insure the safety of any tools or tool boxes kept therein, nor does it assume the liability of replacing any items which may be lost or stolen therefrom, except that the Company will reimburse an Employee covered by this Agreement for the employees against loss by fire or theft, of his personal tools the entire tool kit up to a maximum of $3,250 and tool box occasioned by including a fire on Company premises or while the Employee is on Company business$50 deductible clause. It is further understood that it is the employee's responsibility to keep an updated tool kit list on file with Engineering Management and agreed to ensure that when the kit is locked in a mechanic designated area. Management may, at any time inspect an employee's tool kit in order to ensure that the tools remain on the premises and verify that the tool kit list on file is accurate.
(n) Whenever hand tools are required by the Company to travel for use on foreign aircraft not in connection with emergency field service to restore Company aircraft or equipment to general service, the Company will reimburse such mechanic if his personally owned tools are lost or stolen while being shipped purchase and supply same at no cost to or from the downline station or while such mechanic is employee.
(o) Any charter flights operated by BA to manned on-line stations will be handled by employees covered by this Agreement. Flights into locations not manned by BA shall be handled at the downline station performing Company's discretion.
(p) At JFK only, towing and headset for technical reasons and light GSE maintenance (e.g. checking fluids, checking tire pressure, changing if required) will fall under the emergency field serviceMaintenance Representative/Mechanic job description. A Maintenance Representative/Mechanic(s) will be assigned, by management, to perform desk duties, including EWS and signaling. Management will have the right to perform these duties if there is a requirement for the Maintenance Representative/Mechanic assigned the desk function to work on aircraft. It will be at the company’s discretion to determine whether the work of, post de-icing inspection and associated paperwork, will continue to be performed by the Maintenance Representative/Mechanic or some other party. This Agreement is subject to the following limitations and conditions:
a. To qualify for reimbursement under this section, the Employee must have on file with the Company a complete inventory of his personal tools regularly used on Company business and kept on Company premises or used in connection with emergency field service. Such inventory is subject to verification by the Company. Tools which are added to the Employee's tool box after the inventory will not be covered until done on an ad hoc basis. The Company will notify the tools are added Union prior to the inventory;
b. Tools which are not essential to the performance start of the job winter season (October 1st) who will not handle this work throughout the upcoming winter season.
(q) Full-time employees will be permitted to engage in an outside profession, trade, or business while employed by British Airways. Full-time employees who wish to engage in outside profession, trade or business while employed by British Airways will be included in required to:
(1) Provide to the inventory;
c. Missing individual tools are not covered;
d. Tool boxes excessively damaged while being shipped for field service use shall be repaired or replacePeople Department written notice of their secondary employer details (name of secondary employer/company, address and telephone contact, and number of hours regularly scheduled to work) prior to starting the new job/occupation.
13(2) Employees who are absent from work due to illness, short or long term disability or occupational injury may not engage in a secondary occupation without permission from the People Department.
(r) The Company will be free to determine who performs the functions of all non-technical work including towing and push backs, head set operation, technical manual revisions and storage, ground service connections (air conditioning, electrical, fuelling, lavatory), opening and closing of panels for ground service connections, opening of cabin doors, vehicle maintenance, ground equipment maintenance, wing-walking, marshalling. All orders or notices re-fueling and de- icing of airplanes including associated company paperwork, removing and replacing chocks, and sending required messages. In emergency situations, management may assign British Airways Mechanics and/or Maintenance Representatives to perform any of the above functions.
(s) At JFK, if there is a manager on shift and there is an Employee unplanned need for him to perform work that is covered by the Agreement involving engineering collective bargaining agreement, then it shall not be deemed a transfer, promotion, demotion, layoff, discipline, or leave of absence shall be given in writing with a copy to the Union. No letter or notice for violation of Company rules will be used the agreement if he does so, provided the manager notifies the senior maintenance representative on duty. This paragraph is not intended to eliminate overtime opportunities in accordance with the determining collective bargaining agreement. A separate Letter of discipline if Agreement to follow with examples of such notice has been in the Employee's file for twelve (12) months and there has been no recurrence of the same offense within the twelve (12) month period. All letter or reprimand or warning will be removed from an Employee's file after twelve (12) months from date letter is placed in the fileagreed situations.

5. Airline trip passes will be issued to qualified Employees employees in accordance with the then existing Company policy. In the event the Company establishes a more favorable policy with other airlines in the future, that policy shall prevail.
6. Any deviation from this Agreement may be made by mutual agreement between the Company and the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association IBT Airline Teamsters -Airline Division. Such mutual agreement must be in writing and signed by the parties thereto.
7. The Company shall continue to allow Employees employees a reasonable amount of time to wash-up “wash- up” prior to punching out.

Where Employees employees have become physically unable to perform their regular work, the Union and the Company shall cooperate in attempting to place such Employees employees in a position within their classification for which they are qualified and able to perform, or by mutual agreement in a lower classification for which they are qualified and able to perform.

The Employee will be allowed four When a death or critical illness (4impending death) work days leave with pay at the Employee's regular rate of pay for the purpose of attending the funeral of a member of his or her occurs in an employee’s immediate family, the employee will receive up to three (3) working days off at straight time pay, depending on the employee’s needs.
