Bottlenose dolphins can be found somewhere in the Black Sea coastal waters (▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, 1956; ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, 1957; ▇▇▇’nikov, 1967; Arsenyev et al., 1973; ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ et al., 1976; Arsenyev, 1980; etc.), and occasionally they occur far offshore in the more deep area (▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, 1981; ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, 1995; ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, 1996 b; ▇▇▇▇▇▇ and ▇▇▇▇▇▇, 1997). For a long time they are known in the Turkish straits system (incl. the Bosphorus, Marmara Sea and Dardanelles) which connects the Black and Mediterranean Seas (▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, 1956; ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ et al., 1976; ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, 1995; ▇▇▇▇▇▇ and Öztürk, 1997). These cetaceans are common also in the Kerch Strait (▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, 1956; ▇▇▇▇▇▇ and Krivokhizhin, 1998, 2000; ▇▇▇▇▇▇ et al., 2002), and sometimes they visit the Sea of Azov (▇▇▇▇▇▇, 1940; ▇▇▇▇▇▇ et al., 1997).
