Common use of GENERAL PURPOSE Clause in Contracts

GENERAL PURPOSE. 1:01 The general purpose of this Agreement is: (a) to secure the benefits of collective bargaining, a method of settling any difference between the parties arising from the interpretation, application, administration or alleged violation of this Agreement; and (b) to set forth the terms and conditions of employment applicable to employees in the bargaining unit and matters to be observed by the University and the Union.

It is recognized as a duty of the parties hereto and of all employees to cooperate fully, individually and collectively for the advancement of the conditions set forth herein.
