Grievance Initiation. Subject to having completed the mandatory complaint stage set out in Article 10.03 and if the complaint remains unresolved, a Nurse, or the Union on the Nurse’s behalf may present a grievance, which shall contain the Article(s) allegedly violated including the pertinent details, in the following manner: Step 1 The Nurse and/or the Union, on the Nurse’s behalf, shall present the written grievance to the Administrator, Grandview Lodge or designate, within ten (10) working days of the reply of the Director of Nursing as set out in 10.03 above. A meeting shall be convened at a mutually agreeable time between the grievor and or the Committee and the Administrator, Grandview Lodge, within ten (10) working days or such longer period as mutually agreed upon. The Administrator, Grandview Lodge, shall reply in writing within ten (10) working days of the meeting as set out herein. Step 2 Within ten (10) working days of the receipt of the answer at Step 1 (or if no answer is received at Step 1, then within five (5) working days after the date upon which such answer ought to have been received), the Nurse and/or the Union on the Nurse’s behalf may refer the matter to the Chief Administrative Officer or designate. The Chief Administrative Officer or designate shall convene a meeting of the Parties at a mutually agreeable time to hear such grievance within five (5) working days after receipt of such notification, and shall deliver a written reply to the Union within five (5) working days after such meeting.
