Grievance on Layoffs and Recalls Sample Clauses
The "Grievance on Layoffs and Recalls" clause establishes a formal process for employees or their representatives to challenge or seek review of decisions related to layoffs and the rehiring (recall) of staff. Typically, this clause outlines the steps employees must follow to file a grievance, such as submitting a written complaint within a specified timeframe and participating in meetings or hearings to resolve the issue. By providing a structured mechanism for addressing disputes over layoffs and recalls, the clause helps ensure fairness and transparency in workforce reductions and reemployment, reducing the risk of arbitrary or discriminatory actions.
