GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE PURPOSE. The purpose of the grievance procedure is to provide a formal means of resolving disagreements about the provisions of this contract. These proceedings shall be as informal as may be appropriate at any level of the procedure. The parties further agree that orderly and expeditious resolutions of grievances shall occur. A grievance shall be defined as a written claim by an employee or the Association based upon a personal loss or injury because there has been an alleged misinterpretation, misapplication, or violation of the terms of this Agreement relating to salaries, employee benefits or working conditions.
