Common use of Group Policy Clause in Contracts

Group Policy. This booklet is not a contract of insurance. The insurance which it summarizes is subject to the terms and conditions of the Group Policy issued to your Employer by the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. It is hoped that the Group Policy will be continued indefinitely but the right is reserved to change or terminate the Group Policy. Any such action would be taken only after careful consideration. The insurance and benefits under the Group Policy are non-assignable prior to a loss. Any provision, as summarized in this booklet, which, on the effective date of the Group Policy, is in conflict with any applicable law or regulation of the province in which the Group Policy is delivered will be considered amended so as to conform to the requirements of such law or regulation.
