Hiring Process. (a) All staff for positions within the bargaining unit will be hired by the Employer. (b) Prior to such hiring, the Employer will provide a copy of the application to a designate appointed by the Union. (c) The application shall be in a form mutually agreed between the Union and Employer. (d) Upon hiring, the Employer shall immediately advise the union designate in writing of the new employee's name, current mailing address, and job classification. (e) All employees shall, as a condition of continued employment become members of the Union and maintain such membership (subject only to the provisions of Section 17 of the Labour Relations Code of British Columbia).
