Common use of Holidays and Breaks Clause in Contracts

Holidays and Breaks. The College shall grant bargaining unit members the following Observed Holidays as specified in the academic calendar: ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ Day, Spring Holiday (Friday before Easter), Spring Break (as specified by the College Calendar), Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, and Winter Break. When a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, bargaining unit members shall observe the days designated by the College (usually the Friday before or Monday after the holiday) in lieu of the Saturday or Sunday holiday. The academic calendar will be determined in accordance with College Policy. The College will provide the SFCC-AAUP President with a copy of the academic calendar prior to its adoption (per College Policy), and will, simultaneously seek input from the SFCC-AAUP.
