The Hospital Seniority clause establishes the order of precedence or ranking among hospital staff, typically based on factors such as length of service, qualifications, or position. In practice, this clause may determine which staff members have priority for promotions, shift assignments, or decision-making authority during emergencies. Its core function is to provide a clear and fair system for resolving disputes or ambiguities regarding staff hierarchy, ensuring efficient hospital operations and minimizing conflicts.
Hospital Seniority. An employee’s continuous length of service with the Employer from the most recent date of hire.
Hospital Seniority. The seniority of an employee will be established back to the first date of continuous employment, when an employee has completed his/her probationary period.
Hospital Seniority. For purposes of wage increments, vacation benefits, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Health 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan benefits and sick leave benefits, seniority shall be the period of continuous employment with the Hospital from the date of hire.

  • Departmental Seniority Departmental seniority is defined as the length of employment within the employee’s current department. Department seniority shall accrue as of the first day of employment or transfer into a new department.

  • Super Seniority For purposes of layoff and recall only, the President shall head the seniority list, provided however, that such officer must have the necessary skill and experience to perform the required work. The Sheriff agrees that this section shall not be applied in an arbitrary manner.

  • Hospital Services The Hospital will: 6.1.1 achieve the Performance Standards described in the Schedules and the HSAA Indicator Technical Specifications; 6.1.2 not reduce, stop, start, expand, cease to provide or transfer the provision of Hospital Services to another hospital or to another site of the Hospital if such action would result in the Hospital being unable to achieve the Performance Standards described in the Schedules and the HSAA Indicator Technical Specifications; and 6.1.3 not restrict or refuse the provision of Hospital Services that are funded by the Funder to an individual, directly or indirectly, based on the geographic area in which the person resides in Ontario, and will establish a policy prohibiting any health care professional providing services at the Hospital, including physicians, from doing the same.

  • Medical Care Leave An Employee who is unable to make the necessary arrangements for maintenance of personal health care outside of scheduled work time, shall be granted time off with pay. Such time off shall not exceed sixteen (16) working hours per calendar year. Hours in excess of sixteen (16) hours per calendar year shall be deducted from the Employee's sick leave accumulation.

  • Hospital Any institution which is legally licensed as a medical or surgical facility in the country in which it is located, which is a) primarily engaged in providing diagnostic and therapeutic facilities for clinical and surgical diagnosis, treatment and care of injured and sick persons by or under the supervision of a staff of physicians; and b) not a place of rest, a place for the aged or nursing or convalescent home or institution or a long term care facility.
