Common use of IMPROVED QUALIFICATIONS Clause in Contracts

IMPROVED QUALIFICATIONS. Teachers who improve their qualification(s) shall, on the effective date of improving the qualification(s), receive at least the minimum commencing step for the new qualification(s). The effective date for the improvement of qualification(s) to a higher group in this situation is: (a) Where qualifications are improved at the end of the academic year - the commencing date of the following calendar year, that is 1 January; or (b) Where qualifications are improved during an academic year – the date of the official notification from the relevant tertiary provider of achievement of qualification.
