In case of Illness. If an employee falls ill before the beginning of their vacation or during their vacation, they may replace vacation days using their available sick days. Those replaced vacations days will be restored so the employee can use them later on. In this situation, the employer can ask for a medical certificate as per article 20.1.

In case of Illness. If an employee falls ill before the beginning start of their his vacation or and an acceptable medical certificate confirms as much, he can replace his days of annual vacation with his available days of sick leave. If he requests sick leave during their his vacation period and, to that end, supplies an acceptable medical certificate, his vacation credits will not be reduced due to this leave. Days of annual vacation, thus replaced, will be re-established so they may replace vacation days using their available sick days. Those replaced vacations days will be restored so the employee can use them used at a later on. In this situation, the employer can ask for a medical certificate as per article 20.1date.
