Common use of Inclement Days Clause in Contracts

Inclement Days. 9-1.1 Although classes may be cancelled due to inclement weather, full-time maintenance, building and grounds, custodial, shipping and receiving and office staff employees are expected to report to work unless the District Superintendent or his designee declares an emergency situation and specifically advises each of these groups and/or individuals that they are exempt from reporting to work. Clerical employees shall report to work as requested. The above exemptions must be authorized by the Superintendent. 9-1.2 Eligible employees who desire to absent themselves from their duties on a snow day may do so without pay or take a personal day or vacation day if required to work.
