Inclement Weather Days. A. The Administration Building and all school buildings will be open or closed at the direction of the District Superintendent. B. All administrators/supervisors will follow the direction of the Superintendent for reporting to work. C. In this case, administrators/supervisors who work 225 or fewer days may be told not to report on certain inclement weather days since these days will be added to the end of the year. H. To that end and in cultivating a respectful and collaborative environment that encourages teamwork, motivation to succeed and institutional pride, the Pottstown School District Board of Directors establishes and maintains compensation and benefit plans for the Administrators and Supervisors (Act 93) staff that is competitive with similar positions statewide, in the region that are of similar size with generally similar accountabilities and responsibilities and with the business community. Pottstown School District has developed a Total Rewards Program (TRP) for Act 93 Administrators and Supervisors. Total Rewards include salary, benefits and performance-based rewards. The recognition for performance-based rewards should mirror the high standards and results-oriented expectations of school and district leaders. The development of the Total Rewards Program is based on the following concepts: ▪ Recognition of performance and results ▪ Maintenance of a competitive program within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania ▪ Encouragement and reward for performance to achieve district/building/department goals ▪ Focus and reward for leadership skills that drive performance ▪ Fiscal responsibility The Compensation Program at Pottstown School District includes: ▪ Salary ranges ▪ Salary ▪ Salary increases ▪ Benefits ▪ Performance-based rewards ▪ Annual review The Superintendent or the designee has the responsibility for the Pottstown School District’s goals and for the administration and the review of the Total Rewards Program with the Administrators and Supervisors. The Board approves the TRP and all recommended performance-based rewards annually. TRP exists at the discretion of the Board, and may be terminated and/or modified in whole or in part at the sole discretion of the Board. The TRP will be in effect throughout this agreement. To ensure excellence, it is the obligation of the Board to provide appropriate funding based on the potential rewards for excellent performance by all participants. This document is intended to provide an explanation and description of the Total Rewards Program presently in effect through the Pottstown School District, and should not be deemed to be or relied upon as a binding contract between the Pottstown School District and the Act 93 Administrators and Supervisors.
