Indefinite Term. where the illness or injury is of such a nature that the employee will not be able to return to the employee's normal duties within the foreseeable future. Employees with work restrictions are defined as employees who by reason of illness or injury are not capable of carrying out the duties of their normal job, but who can do some useful work.
