Individual Control Over Phi Sample Clauses
The "Individual Control Over PHI" clause grants individuals the right to access, manage, and make decisions regarding their Protected Health Information (PHI). Individual Control Over Phi. A. Individual Access to PHI. Business Associate agrees to make available PHI in a Designated Record Set to an Individual or Individual’s designee, as necessary to satisfy Covered Entity’s obligations under 45 C.F.R. section 164.524. Business Associate shall do so solely by way of coordination with Covered Entity, and in the time and manner designated by Covered Entity.
Individual Control Over Phi. 4.1 Business Associate shall within a reasonable period of time following Covered Entity’s request make available to Covered Entity PHI held by Business Associate in a Designated Record Set as necessary for Covered Entity to satisfy Covered Entity’s obligations under 45 C.F.R. section 164.524.
4.2 Business Associate shall maintain and within a reasonable period of time following Covered Entity’s request make available the information required to provide an accounting of Disclosures to an Individual as necessary to satisfy Covered Entity’s obligations under 45 C.F.R. section 164.528.
4.3 Business Associate shall within a reasonable period of time following Covered Entity’s request make any amendment(s) to PHI held by Business Associate in a Designated Record Set as directed or agreed to by Covered Entity pursuant to 45 C.F.R. section 164.526, or take other measures as necessary to satisfy Covered Entity’s obligations under 45 C.F.R. section 164.526.
