Inflation Index Sample Clauses

An Inflation Index clause defines how payments or financial obligations under a contract will be adjusted to account for changes in inflation over time. Typically, this clause specifies a recognized inflation measure, such as the Consumer Price Index, and outlines the frequency and method for recalculating amounts owed. By linking contractual payments to inflation, the clause ensures that the real value of payments remains consistent, protecting parties from the eroding effects of inflation and maintaining fairness throughout the contract term.
