Initiating a Cross-Appointment Sample Clauses

The 'Initiating a Cross-Appointment' clause defines the process by which an individual can be formally appointed to a position in more than one department, faculty, or institution. Typically, this involves submitting a formal request or application, obtaining approvals from relevant administrative bodies, and outlining the terms of the cross-appointment, such as responsibilities and reporting lines. This clause ensures a clear and standardized procedure for establishing cross-appointments, thereby facilitating collaboration and resource sharing while preventing misunderstandings about roles and obligations.
