Common use of Intent of Restatement Clause in Contracts

Intent of Restatement. In a number of the provisions of this agreement, statutes or regulations are restated for the convenience of the parties and the employees covered by the agreement. In restating the provisions of such statutes and regulations, some minor changes to the statutory and regulatory language have been made for clarity or to place that language in context. These wording changes are not intended to change the meaning of the language in question. However, should there be any conflict between the language of this agreement and the language of applicable statutes, or regulations in effect at the time the agreement became effective, the language of the statutes and regulations is controlling.
