Intent to Pay Prevailing Wages Sample Clauses

The "Intent to Pay Prevailing Wages" clause establishes the obligation of a contractor or employer to compensate workers at wage rates that meet or exceed those determined as prevailing for similar work in the locality. In practice, this means that before beginning a project, the employer must acknowledge and commit to paying these standard wages, often as a condition for public contracts or government-funded projects. This clause ensures fair compensation for workers, prevents undercutting of local wage standards, and promotes compliance with labor laws.
