Interconnection System Impact Study Procedures Clause Samples

The Interconnection System Impact Study Procedures clause outlines the process for evaluating the potential effects of connecting a new energy facility or generator to an existing power grid. It typically details the steps required for conducting technical studies, the responsibilities of both the applicant and the utility, and the timelines for completing the analysis. For example, it may specify the data that must be provided, the criteria for assessing grid impacts, and how results are communicated. The core function of this clause is to ensure that new interconnections do not adversely affect the reliability or safety of the grid, thereby managing risk and clarifying the process for all parties involved.
