Job Applications. (a) All applications for the posted positions must be filed in writing with the Employer, by the end of the closing day after posting. (b) In order that all employees have an equal opportunity to apply on vacant or new Bargaining Unit positions, employees shall be allowed to submit a "Letter of Preference" indicating which position they wish to apply on. Letters of Preference shall remain valid for six (6) months. Employees absent on leave as provided for in Article 10.3 "Care and Nurturing/Elder Care Leave” shall not be entitled to this provision.
