(a) If When the Employer intends to permanently fill a new regular job or a regular vacancy or new job has in the bargaining unit, it shall post a duration of sixty (60) calendar days or more, notice at the vacancy or new job including the salary range, a summary of the job description, the required qualifications, the hours of work, including start and stop times and days off, the location of the vacancy and the commencement date shall, before being filled, be posted facility for a minimum of seven (7) calendar days, before being filled. Information in the posting shall include the salary, a manner which gives all employees access summary of the duties involved, the required qualifications, experience, ability, and the commencement date. The posting shall also include information on the current start and stop times area of work and normal days off for information purposes only. The Employer retains the right to such informationdirect the workforce consistent with the Employer’s operational requirements. Provided that no New jobs and permanent regular employee vacancies shall be entitled to relieve other regular employees under this clause on more than two (2) occasions filled in one (1) calendar year unless accordance with the Employer criteria listed in the Promotions, Transfers and the Union otherwise agree in good faith or the posting results in a change of classification for the employeeLayoff Article.
(b) Temporary vacancies of forty-five (45) days or longer duration shall be posted and filled under Section (a) above. As of January 1, 2019, the duration will be reduced to thirty (30) days.
(c) The Employer shall also consider applications from those employees, with the required seniority, qualifications, experience, and ability who are absent from their normal places of employment because of sick leave, annual vacation, unpaid leave, union Union leave, compassionate leave, education or other leave, any employment standards leave and who have filled in an application form before each absence, stating the jobs they would be interested in applying for should a vacancy or new job occur during their absence.
(cd) All Where operational requirements make it necessary, the Employer may make temporary appointments pending the posting and consideration of Union personnel pursuant to this Article.
(e) Two (2) copies of all postings shall be sent to a person designated by the Secretary-Treasurer of the Local of the HEU Union within the aforementioned seven (7) calendar days.
(df) The Employer shall, within seven three (73) calendar days of the successful candidate being notifieddays, inform all applicants of the name of the successful applicant, applicant either in writing to each applicant or posting the name of the successful applicant in the same manner in which the vacancy or new job was posted.
(eg) The Employer shall agrees to supply to the Union the names of all applicants for a job posting vacancy or new position in the course of a grievance investigation within seven (7) calendar days of a demand by the Unioninvestigation.
(f) An employee granted a temporary promotion, transfer or demotion shall return to their former job and pay rate without loss of seniority and accrued perquisites when the temporary promotion, transfer or demotion terminates.

Job Postings and Applications. If a vacancy or a new job is created for which employees in the Bargaining Unit Union personnel reasonably might be expected to be recruited, the following shall apply:
(a) 34.01 If the vacancy or new job has a duration of sixty one (601) calendar days month or more, the vacancy or new job including the salary range, a summary of the job description, the required qualifications, the hours of work, work including start and stop times and days off, the location of the vacancy work area, (headquarters), and the commencement date shall, before being filled, be posted for a minimum of seven fourteen (714) calendar days.
34.02 In the posting of a vacancy or new job, the hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provisions of the Collective Agreement, provided that:
(i) the change is consistent with operational requirements and the provisions of the Collective Agreement, and is not capricious, arbitrary, discriminatory, or in bad faith. If a manner which gives all employees access to such information. Provided that no regular employee shall be entitled to relieve other regular employees under this clause on more vacancy or new job has a duration of less than two (2) occasions in one (1) calendar year unless month, qualified regular full-time employees who have indicated in writing their desire to work in such positions shall be given the opportunity, where practicable, consistent with the requirements of Article 33 - Promotion, Transfer, Demotion, Release. 34.08 The Employer shall not change the community worked in, unless agreed to by the Employee.
34.09 The employer may create temporary project positions (i.e. grant funded, capital projects, or term specific assignments) for up to twelve (12) months’ duration. These positions are not renewable after the end date of the project. These positions will be filled in accordance with the collective agreement. For the term of the position the employee granted shall become a temporary promotionregular employee accruing all the benefits of such an employee. The employee shall, transfer at the end of the term shall revert to her former status. If the employee was a new hire from the outside that employee shall convert to casual status at her choice. The employee who converts to casual status shall have her sick bank frozen and have the choice to be paid out vacation pay or demotion shall return to their former job and pay rate without loss have that vacation time held in a bank for her use if she becomes a regular employee. If the casual employee does not become a regular employee by the end of seniority and accrued perquisites when the temporary promotionfiscal year, transfer or demotion terminatesthe vacation bank will be paid out.

Job Postings and Applications. The job posting shall indicate that the information provided is subject to the relevant provisions of classification for the employeeCollective Agreement.
(b) The Employer shall also consider applications from those employeesWhen more than one (1) internal candidate applies, with Article
14.01 will apply.
(c) It is the required seniorityresponsibility of each employee to be aware of job postings and to apply within the posting period. (f) An When an employee granted transfers to a temporary promotionnew job through a job posting or is transferred, transfer they will be paid as follows: • If the new job has a higher pay scale, the employee will start at the first step on the new scale which represents an increase. • If the new job has a lower pay rate, the employee will start at the step on the new, lower pay scale, which they had reached on their old job.
(g) If the vacancy or demotion new job has a duration of thirty (30) calendar days or less, qualified regular employees who have indicated in writing their desire to work in such positions shall return be given the opportunity, where practical, consistent with the requirements of Article 14.
01. If the application of this paragraph requires the Employer to their former job pay overtime to the employee pursuant to Article 21, the proposed move shall not be made.
(h) A copy of all postings shall be provided to the local chairperson and pay rate without loss of seniority and accrued perquisites when the temporary promotion, transfer or demotion terminatesservicing representative during the posting period.
