Common use of Job Postings and Applications Clause in Contracts

Job Postings and Applications. a) The employer agrees that all bargaining unit positions shall be posted at the worksite for a period of ten (10) calendar days on designated bulletin boards and a copy of all such postings shall be provided to the Secretary Business Manager or Union designate. b) Postings shall be open to any employee of the bargaining unit. c) The employer shall also consider applications from those employees with the required seniority, qualifications, experience and ability who are absent from their normal places of employment because of sick leave, annual vacation, union leave, compassionate leave or other leave and who have filled out an application form stating they would be interested in applying for should a vacancy or new job occur during their absence.
