Common use of Joint Stipulation Clause in Contracts

Joint Stipulation. The Company, and the Union on behalf of the employee concerned, shall within three (3) regular work days (excluding Sundays and holidays or days observed therefor) prior to the date of hearings as fixed by the Umpire sign a joint stipulation of the dispute or question which is to be arbitrated. Such stipulation shall contain a statement of the position of the Company as well as a brief statement of the position of the Union on the question at issue although such statements are in conflict with respect to the positions of the parties.
