Labor Certification. Pursuant to the requirements of Division 4 of the Labor Code, the Contractor will be required to secure the payment of worker's compensation to its employees in accordance with the provisions of section 3700 of the Labor Code. Prior to commencement of work, the Contractor shall sign and file with the Engineer a certification in the following form: "I am aware of the provisions of section 3700 of the Labor Code which require every employer to be insured against liability for worker's compensation or to undertake self- insurance in accordance with the provisions before commencing the performance of the work of this contract."
