Common use of Learning and Development Clause in Contracts

Learning and Development. (i) The parties to this Agreement confirm a commitment to skill development for employees of the Flight Operations Unit. (ii) The learning and development of employees covered by this Agreement will be linked to the Performance Development and Feedback or such system as may apply within NPWS generally. Performance Development and Feedback Plans will be established through the system and be relevant to the employee's current role and their future career path. (iii) Learning and development options include: on the job training; attendance at internal and external courses and conferences; self-paced learning (e.g. video training; project team work; mentor systems; temporary assignments to higher roles; job rotation and exchange programs). (iv) NPWS’s commitment to learning and development includes a commitment to provide adequate support and resources including full-time trainers, external training providers (where necessary), time and money to ensure the effectiveness of the staff development program. (v) A minimum of 2% of the salary budget for Flight Operations for each financial year will be allocated to the learning and development of employees covered by this Agreement. (vi) The expenditure of the training and development allocation will continue to be reviewed by the FOU Consultative Committee.
