Leave Request Procedure. Employees desiring a leave of absence in accordance with this Article shall apply to the Board or its representative at least thirty (30) calendar days prior to the effective date of the leave, except in emergencies, and shall specify the facts and reasons for the leave. Any unpaid leave of absence may be extended in one (1) year increments upon approval of the Board.
