Legislative Action. The cost items contained in this Agreement and the provisions of this Agreement which supersede preexisting statutes shall not become effective unless or until legislative approval has been granted pursuant to Section 5-278 of the Connecticut General Statutes. The Board shall request such approval as provided by law. If the Legislature rejects such request as a whole, the parties shall return to the bargaining table.
