Less Than Twelve Month Employees. Less than twelve-month employees eligible for 45 purchased uniforms will be provided five (5) uniforms in the first year of employmentand 46 up to four (4) uniforms each year thereafter.
Less Than Twelve Month Employees. An employee on an unpaid parental leave who desires to return to work at the beginning of the next school year shall file an application for reinstatement by April 1 preceding the leave expiration date. The application, where applicable, must be accompanied by a physician's statement indicating the employee's medical condition is such that he/she is capable of returning to work. Failure to make timely application shall not be a basis for a denial of reinstatement if a suitable position is available. An employee who desires to return prior to the beginning of the next school year may inform the Director of Human Resources in writing of his/her interest. This expression of interest must be accompanied, where applicable, by a physician's statement indicating the employee's medical condition is such that he/she can resume all assigned duties. Upon application for return from approved parental leave, the employee will be assigned to the same position if available or to a substantially equivalent position to the one he/she held prior to the leave unless no such position is available in which case he/she will be assigned to a position within his/her classification. In accordance with the criteria established herein and as has been the practice in the past, every effort will be made to arrive at a mutually agreeable assignment.
Less Than Twelve Month Employees. The days of earned vacation shall be included in computing the employee's annual earnings and shall be paid as a portion of each month’s wages. The employee's workdays each year shall be adjusted to comply with the student calendar and/or the District needs.

1. Less than twelve (12) month employees shall neither schedule nor take vacation.
2. All vacation hours to be earned by such employees shall be compensated in cash as part of their monthly compensation.

Section 11.5.1. Should the District decide to discharge or lay off any non-annual employee, the employee will be so notified in writing.
Section 11.5.2. Nothing contained herein shall be construed to prevent the District from discharging an employee for acts of misconduct occurring after the expiration of the school year.

When schools are closed due to inclement weather or a malfunction of facilities, employees need not report to work and shall suffer no loss of wages or other benefits unless the particular employee is required to report to work by the immediate supervisor. However, if schools are closed due to reasons which do not allow scheduled days to be counted as days of student instruction and allow the school district to receive full state aid for those days, the Board shall have the right to reschedule the lost days and the Board shall have the right to require employees to report for work and work the rescheduled days without additional wages, compensation or benefits.
