Level One Grievance Clause Samples

Level One Grievance. Within ten (10) workdays of an occurrence or at the time the grievant reasonably should have known of the occurrence of the alleged incident giving rise to the grievance, the grievant shall discuss the complaint with the immediate principal/supervisor, with a TOTEM representative present if so desired. The principal/supervisor has ten (10) workdays to address the issue. It shall be discussed verbally and, if settled, no further action shall be taken.
Level One Grievance. Within fifteen (15) working days of the occurrence of the grievance, the Assistant shall submit in writing said grievance to the immediate administrator. Prior to placing the grievance in writing the aggrieved employee, with or without Association representation, is encouraged to discuss the matter with the designated administrator, stating as specifically as possible their concerns, with the objective of resolving the matter informally. Within five (5) working days of receipt of a written grievance, the immediate administrator will meet with the grievant (and the Association representative unless representation is waived by the grievant) about the grievance.
Level One Grievance. An aggrieved person or their representative will first present the grievance in writing to his/her Principal or immediate supervisor with whom it will be discussed directly. The meeting of the aforesaid parties shall be scheduled within five (5) school days of the proper filing of the grievance. The Principal or immediate supervisor shall inform the aggrieved person of his/her decision in writing within five (5) school days after the meetings.
Level One Grievance. If after informal discussion the matter has not been satisfactorily resolved, the Regular Employee may submit a written Grievance to the Department Head or his/her designee within five Workdays after receiving the written decision on the informal discussion. 11.5.1 The Grievance shall be submitted in memorandum form. It is to be complete, including but not limited to the following information: the grievant’s full name, all facts giving rise to the Grievance, the date of occurrence, the date of the informal discussion, and shall state and identify by appropriate reference the provisions and section of the policy or rules alleged to have been violated; shall state the contention of the grievant with respect to these provisions; and shall indicate the specific relief, action, or remedy requested. 11.5.2 The Department Head, or designee, shall meet with the grievant in an attempt to resolve the matter within 10

  • Group Grievance Where a number of employees have identical grievances and each employee would be entitled to grieve separately they may present a group grievance in writing signed by each employee who is grieving to the Administrator or her designate within ten (10) days after the circumstances giving rise to the grievance have occurred or ought reasonably to have come to the attention of the employee(s). The grievance shall then be treated as being initiated at Step No. 1 and the applicable provisions of this Article shall then apply with respect to the processing of such grievance.

  • Policy Grievance – Union Grievance The Union may institute a grievance alleging a general misinterpretation or violation of this Agreement by the Employer by submitting a written grievance at Step No. 1 within twenty (20) days after the circumstances have occurred. This section shall not apply to disciplinary grievances or application of competitive clauses under this Agreement.

  • Management Grievance The Employer may initiate a grievance at Step 3 of the grievance procedure by the Employer or designate presenting the grievance to the President of the Union or designate. Time limits and process are identical to a union grievance.

  • Union Grievance The Union may initiate a grievance if the grievance involves a group of employees and if the grievance is submitted in writing within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date the employees were or should have been aware that the grievance existed.

  • Level One Any employee who has a grievance shall discuss it first with his/her immediate supervisor in an attempt to resolve the matter informally at that level.
