Common use of LICENSE SCOPE AND RESTRICTIONS Clause in Contracts

LICENSE SCOPE AND RESTRICTIONS. The Software is licensed and not sold. You acknowledge that this Agreement gives you only limited rights to use the Software subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein. FLIR reserves all other rights. Unless applicable law gives you more rights despite this limitation, you may use the Software only as expressly permitted in this Agreement. In doing so, you must comply with any technical limitations in the Software that only allow you to use it in certain ways. You may not, under any circumstances: (i) work around or circumvent any technical limitations in the Software; (ii) modify, adapt, translate, reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, attempt to derive the source code of, or prepare derivative works of the Software, except and only to the extent that applicable law expressly permits; (iii) publish the Software, either on a network or otherwise, for others to copy or download; (iv) rent, lease, sublicense, or lend the Software; (iv) transfer or permit the use of the Software to any third party; or (v) remove any proprietary notices or labels on the Software.
