Common use of License to Occupy Clause in Contracts

License to Occupy. 2.1 Subject to the Tenant having paid the Renovation Deposit referred to in Clause 3 and the management fee referred to in Clause 4.4 herein, the Landlord shall by notice in writing permit the Tenant to take possession of the Demised Premises on an “as is” basis for the Renovation Period upon the terms and conditions set out herein. 2.2 The Tenant hereby acknowledges and agrees with the Landlord that during the Renovation Period, the Tenant is a mere licensee of the Landlord and is authorised by the Landlord to enter and take possession of the Demised Premises for the sole purpose of carrying out the Renovation Works.
