LIMITED DURATION APPOINTMENT. Section 1. Limited duration appointments may be made for special studies or projects of uncertain or limited duration, which are subject to the continuation of a grant, contract, award or legislative funding for a specific project. In addition, limited duration appointments may be made under the following conditions: a. The incumbent in a permanent position is temporarily on a job rotation, limited duration appointment, or extended leave. b.
