Local Residents. Special provisions are applicable in the Provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba, for local residents. These provisions are set out in the Appendix for the applicable Province.

Local residents living beyond ten (10) kilometres of the project shall be paid fifty-one cents ($0.51) per road kilometre from their residence to the edge of the Free Zone and return for every day the Employee works or reports for work. If called to return to work during the same twenty four (24) hours, shall receive same payment as above.
Local Residents. (a) A local resident is an individual who resides within a seventy-five (75) kilometer radius of the centre of a job site which is beyond daily commuting distance from Edmonton or Calgary or other locations where a hiring hall is located, and has resided within such radius of the site for a period of not less than six months prior to being engaged on the project. It is understood that the hiring of local residents shall be subject to the hiring procedures and prerogatives set out in this agreement.
(b) Local Residents residing within a forty-five (45) km. radius or the job site shall not be entitled to receive transportation or vehicle allowance, travel allowance, initial and return travel allowance, room and board or subsistence, or camp accommodations, or rotational leave provisions.

It is understood that the hiring of local residents shall be subject to the hiring procedures and prerogatives set out in this agreement.
Local Residents. Not less than fifty percent (50%) of the crew, excluding Forepersons, on any job shall be composed of Local Residents, provided they are available when required.

Local Residents. Local residents would receive daily bus transportation (weekly per cycle if the project location required them to be in camp) at no cost. Travel conditions regarding free zone will be in effect.
