Common use of LOCAL VENDOR PREFERENCE Clause in Contracts

LOCAL VENDOR PREFERENCE. 33.1 The Procurement Management Department will adhere to the Lee County Ordinance No. 22-06 and as may be amended from time to time (the County's "Local Vendor Preference"). It shall be at the discretion of the County Manager or Designee whether to apply Local Vendor Preference to any particular Solicitation. 33.2 The County's Local Vendor Preference, as it relates to Bidding preferences for local Vendors, is not applicable to Solicitations or Contracts when Commodities and/or Services may be provided in the event of an Emergency. 33.3 The County's Local Vendor Preference shall not apply in any procurement for Commodities or Services if the use of the Local Vendor Preference is prohibited by the terms of a grant or funding agreement or other prevailing law or policy.
